HR Manager
Description
Reporting into the Head of HR, the HR Manager is responsible for supporting the people management activities that underpin our business culture. The broad areas include: employee relations, HR Projects, governance, compensation and benefits, learning & development, communications and performance management.
Responsibilities
To be amazing at:
- Providing guidance for managers and their teams to foster a high performance culture
- Supporting employee relations, including absence, discipline, grievance, sickness, leavers
- Understanding any employee relations trends and devise interventions to improve engagement
- Coaching managers on performance development and related processes
- Developing HR solutions that complement business objectives and company values;
- Contributing to the development of HR department goals, objectives, and systems
- Supporting talent and succession planning activities
- Advising on company benefits
- Ensuring all company policies and procedures are fit for purpose, necessary and in line with current legislation and best practice
- Recommending new policies, procedures, approaches
- Contributing ideas on different ways to communicate within the business
- Ensuring our new employee induction experience helps starters feel welcome and able to perform
- Oversee exit interviews, reporting any trends, highlighting opportunities to improve
- Support the annual salary / performance review process
- HR reporting – using data to gain insight to inform people related decision making
- Measuring employee satisfaction and identifying areas that require improvement
- Implementing the training and development agenda; identify areas that need attention and improvement
Skills & Experience
- A professional and commercial approach to HR
- Demonstrable experience in managing HR projects
- Strong understanding of employment law
- Superb communication skills honed in business partnering/advisory roles
- Ability to build rapport quickly with key members of the team
- Ability to represent the HR function as part of the bigger business picture
- Confident advising managers on all aspects of people management and development.
