WengenWengen is at the heart of the Jungfrau region and shares its skiing with Grindelwald. It is a picturesque car free village which is ideal for a relaxing alpine holiday. Access to the skiing is predominantly by train up to the Kleine Scheidegg but there is also the Männlichen cable car. There are wonderful intermediate runs to Grindelwald and back to Wengen and it is relatively simple to ski in Mürren by taking the train down to Lauterbrunnen and up the other side. Evening entertainment is busy in the bars and restaurants and the cinema quite often has English language films. For non skiers there is plenty to do and it is easy to meet friends up the mountain for lunch.
