Ski Resort Information, Ski Holidays to St Luc
St LucThis beautiful valley has been a popular destination for visitors seeking a real mountain atmosphere for well over 100 hundred years. It can easily be reached by train car and air. The TGV train stops at Sierre, Sion airport has regular flights from London with Crossair and the motorway system provides easy access.
The valley is made up of a number of traditional villages including St Luc, Grimentz, Zinal and Vercorin with a single ski pass for the whole area. All of the villages are picturesque with narrow streets lined with old wooden chalets. None of the big tour operators feature the Val d’Anniviers and it has remained relatively unspoilt. The ambience and charm should not be under rated. The skiing is mainly for beginners and intermediates and has the great advantage of being high with skiing up to 3025m. The lift system is modern and quick and queueing is not a problem.Throughout the valley there is 230km of piste and good facilities for snowboarders.
All the villages have good restaurants and bars serving the local cheeses and wines. Night life is quiet. The Val d’Anniviers is ideal for families and for those who are looking for a holiday away from the crowds but at the same time want comfort and good skiing.
