60km of finely groomed pistes with great snow reliability on the north side of the Kitzbuheler Horn make St Johan in Tirol a very attractive destination. The neighbouring resorts of Kitzbuhel and Ski Welt are also easily accessible and covered on the same ski pass for those who want more.

The terrain here is mostly aimed at beginners and it is a great place to learn and improve for both boarders and skiers. The uncrowded slopes are almost exclusively red and blue and there is a great ski school to help beginners find their feet. Intermediates and experts will find that the mountain is easily covered within the first couple of days and will perhaps want to take the ten minute train to Kitzbuhel to check out the more advanced terrain there.

The apres ski scene is lively and there are a multitude of homely mountain restaurants to take a breather in. Off the slopes there is plenty to do in the classic mountain town which has all the facilities you expect from a resort town. There is also a renowned new years bash and horse sleigh races to amuse the visitor.
