SamoensSamoens is a charming old Savoy farming village in the Grand Massif, 68 km east of Geneva. Railway station at Cluses (18 km) or Annemasse (44 km), bus service to Cluses, Annemasse, Genève and Bellegarde (TGV). In the village there are over 15 shops and sufficient restaurants and discotheques.
4 skiing resorts Flaine, Morillon, Les Carroz and Samoens have joined together to form "Domaine du Grand Massif" and together they form one of the largest ski regions in Europe. 260 km of ski runs (25 km difficult, 185 km medium, 50 km easy), reached by 70 mountain lifts. In Samoens itself there is 1 cable cabin, 4 chair lifts and 9 drag lifts. Ski school, child-minding in the village for over 1 year olds and on the ski runs for over 3's. 50 km of cross country ski trails, 1 trail at Lac aux Dames is illuminated at night, trails for ski hikes.
