RukaRuka, located in north east Finland, is the largest ski resort in Finland and also gets the most snowfall. Long and varied well groomed slopes dominate the mountain which is ideal for beginners and intermediates. Tree lined cruising runs are also in evidence and snowboarders will love all the board facilities. Some of the best riders in the world come from Finland and it shows- the resort has the feel of being a real snowboarders resort with two half pipes and two parks.
The standard accommodation is very high and a large amount of money has recently been invested in making this resort one of the best in Scandinavia. There isn’t a great deal to do off the slopes but there are both bars and restaurants for après ski amusements.
