Perisher BluePerisher Blue is one of the biggest and highest resorts in Australia and certainly the one with the one with the biggest reputation.
Over 50 lifts across 7 peaks the breadth of Perisher Blue’s skiing and boarding experience is huge. Perisher’s tagline is ‘you can ski all day and never see the same runs twice’ and one look at the piste map will confirm this.
All levels will find something to amuse themselves in Perisher. Beginners will love Pleasant Valley, the resort’s dedicated beginners area, served by it’s own express chairlift. Intermediates will find several long, cruising circuits to challenge and amuse. The emphasis is very much on long smooth reds on which it takes minimal effort to look good. Experts are well catered for with some very good bump runs, extensive through the tree skiing and even a double black diamond: kamikaze.
Off the slopes there is plenty to do with a lively après ski scene rumbling on in the bars in the Village until late and dozens of restaurants. There is also night skiing to be had, cross country skiing and snowshoeing among other activities.
