Ski Resort Information, Ski Holidays to Park City

Park City

Park City prides itself for having the 'greatest snow on earth', it is also very proud to be hosting the Winter Olympics this season. The Winter Olympics have brought much investment to the resort, so now is a great time to go and take advantage of the improved facilities. The Olympics are taking place between 8th and 22nd February 2002 and during that time the resort is open as normal, with over 90% of the mountain still open to the public.

Park City is a great base for exploring the 9 ski areas in the region. The ski areas of Park City, Deer Valley and the Canyons are linked by a free shuttle bus, plus the 'town chairlift' links Park City town the the ski village at the base of the lifts. The resorts of Alta, Brighton, Snowbird, Solitude and Sundance are easily accessible at less than an hour away.

Park City has excellent skiing for all abilities, particularly intermediates and advanced, nevertheless for beginners there are dedicated nursery slopes, top class tuition and plenty of gentle runs to progress on to. Intermediates have a great range of slopes to choose from at all the ski areas which are all covered on the Ski Utah Passport Multi-Area Lift Pass. Advanced skiers will relish the challenge of the powder and bump skiing on offer, the area is paradise for the serious skier.
