NeustiftOnly 25km from Innsbruck, this wonderland village in the Stubaital valley has great snow and access to the famed Stubai glacier.
Neustift is ideal for all levels of skier and snowboarder. Beginners have in-resort nursery slopes and plenty of easy blues to graduate to. Intermediate and advanced skiers will love the glacier and the surrounding resorts of Flumpes and Innsbruck. The Stubaier Super Ski pass covers the whole valley and the Innsbruck super ski pass covers the Stubaital valley, Innsbruck, Kitzbühel and Kirchberg.
The village itself is lively and there is plenty to do. Apres ski is typically Austrian (think beer- and lots of it) and always busy due to the heavy influx of visitors from nearby towns. The village also has a leisure centre with an indoor pool and bowling.
Boardparks and Pipes
Neustift is at the bottom of the valley of the Stubai glacier which has one of the best board parks in Europe, used by the SPC summer Camp. It has some of the biggest kickers we have seen on this side of the Atlantic, and a perfectly shaped half pipe. Not for the average boarder, but worth watching the pros at work!
