Ski Resort Information, Ski Holidays to Les Arc Peisey Vallandry
Les Arc Peisey VallandryThe idyllic little village of Peisey Nancroix is linked to the 200km of slopes in the Les Arc region and only a stones throw away from La Plagne. In the summer this traditional Savoyard village is a base for farmers and in winter it turns into a relaxed ski station with little more that a few bars, a post office, supermarket, a ski hire shop and one uncrowded chairlift.
The skiing, as with Les Arc, is fantastic for all levels and snowboarders. It is home to the longest black run (at a staggering 7km) in the world and there is extensive intermediate terrain. Beginners are well catered for with an excellent ski school- this is the home of the Ski Evolutif teaching method, where novice skiers start off with short skis and progress to longer skis as they grow more confident. Snowboarders will find excellent freeride terrain, a bordercross course, a half pipe and a terrain park.
Arc Peisey also has its own skiing area which is great for beginners and starting intermediates. This charming little village is traditional and the nightlife is subdued, but it is extremely convenient for the slopes. Vallandry, a few steps away from Arc Peisey has a few bars and a club, along with convenient purpose build accommodation.
The link from Plan Peisey to La Plagne will open in December 2003.
