Bonneval-sur-Arc

One of the highest villages in Europe, situated right at the foot of the Col de l’Iseran.

And one of the most beautiful. When the sun is shining down on the old stone buildings you really get the feeling that you are in one of the most unspoilt villages in France. The nature is equally stunning, the village is in the heart of the Vanoise National Park. Evidence of habitation have been found in Bonneval from as far back as 450 BC.

The skiing area here is rather small- but the off piste is very good and the snow conditions are usually fantastic right up to the very end of the season. Also Val Cenis is only a few minutes down the valley and the slopes there are extensive.

Bonneval is a great break from some of the more commercial resorts.
