Ski Resort Information, Ski Holidays to Bad Kleinkirchheim
Bad KleinkirchheimBad Kleinkirchheim is an old spa town in the beautiful Carinthian mountains to the south and east of Austria. Usually shortened to BKK, its fame grew out of the downhill racing success of Franz Klammer, whose home town this is. Being not just a winter resort, facilities are good for non skiers as well as skiers, plenty of walking and beauty treatments abound, with hay baths being a speciality. The skiing is best suited to beginners and intermediates with the World Cup Downhill course, designed by Klammer, being quite a challenge even for advanced skiers. Intermediate slopes are flattering and you can imagine that you are following in the tracks of Klammer himself, even if not quite so fast. Ski school is well run and small children can be looked after from 3 - 6 years in the kindergarten for half or whole days. The locals of BKK are well aware of the hot competition amongst ski resorts and make every effort to be welcoming.
