Axamer LizumAxamer Lizum is just 9 kilometres from Innsbruck, the capital of Tirol, and was host to the alpine ski races for the Innsbruck Winter Olympics in 1964 and 1976.
Axamer Lizum provides the best skiing around Innsbruck but is a ski station rather than a resort with a wide range of amenities, however with Innsbruck so close there is plenty of entertainment to be found.
There are a couple of lift pass options, the Innsbruck Pass includes Axamer Lizum, Igls, Mutters and Tulfes and the Super Ski pass includes days in Kitzbuhel and St. Anton in addition to the resorts mentioned.
