Ski Resort Information, Ski Holidays to Arc 1600 (Pierre Blanche)

Arc 1600 (Pierre Blanche)

The Les Arcs resorts are surrounded by some of the best skiing in the world. Each of them is worthy of a weeks skiing alone and the resorts of the Trois Vallées, La Plagne, Val d’Isère and Tignes are only a short drive away.

Les Arcs is a purpose built resort with an abundance of skiing for all standards. It is the home of the ski évolutif method of teaching and has an Olympic speed skiing course. The two satellite villages of Villaroger Le Pré and Peisey Nancroix are situated at opposite ends of the ski area with good connections. They are traditional villages whose economies are as much based on skiing as farming. They both have a charming French atmosphere. Après ski is limited to a few bars and restaurants.

Ste Foy is where guides from Val d’Isère and Tignes come on their days off. It is a beautiful unspoilt resort with skiing for all standards and fantastic off piste available with a guide. Queues are unheard of. There are a few restaurants and bars. As the locals say “Come to Ste Foy before everyone else does.” Access to the skiing of La Rosière and Les Arcs is easy.
