Thanks to the beautiful countryside, healthy climate and the variety of facilities, Adelboden is an international holiday resort attracting thousands of holidaymakers seeking peace and relaxation every year. This mountain village is in a sunny position, sheltered from the wind, in the wildly romantic valley of Engstligen, 30 km south of Spiez. Rail travellers take the train to Frutigen and then the bus from there 16 km.

The skiing village of Adelboden is connected by cable cars to the neighbouring resort of Lenk. Altogether there are over 40 lifts and railways carrying 25'000 persons per hour and a total of 120 km of easy to moderately difficult ski runs. Down-hill and cross country ski schools with 60 instructors, children's ski school, ski kindergarten for 2 - 6 year olds. 40 km of cross country ski trail, ski bob, natural and artificial ice rinks, curling (3 indoor and 3 outdoor rinks).
