Hidden Mickeys

The next time you take a holiday in Disneyland Paris, watch a Disney cartoon or even watch your favourite Disney movie, make sure you keep you eyes peeled. There may be more fun going on than you probably know about....

What are Hidden Mickeys?

Hidden MickeysHidden Mickeys are an image of the classic Mickey Mouse head silhouette cunningly concealed within the design of a Disneyland Paris ride, attraction or general architecture. Hidden Mickeys have also been known to appear in Disney® Cartoons and movies. Typically a hidden Mickey is formed from three circles, a larger one for the face and two for the ears. However some of these hidden icons are created using a side profile of Mickey. It is thought that hidden Mickeys started out as inside jokes among the Walt Disney Imagineers. During the designing, constructing and finishing of attractions, Imagineers carefully and tactfully hid silhouettes and patterns representing the head of everyone’s famous mouse. New Hidden Mickey's make appearences with every show or ride added to Disneyland Paris.

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled during Mickey's Magical Party! season for example. Today, dedicated fans search all things Disney in the hope of searching out every... last... one! Psst!... here are a few to get you started.
